NEW LOCATION NOW OPEN
This Spring is flying by. Shad Roe and Soft Shell Crabs are waning. Strawberries are in abundance, Blueberries starting to Blue and Blackberries starting to Black. I walked through The Influencer’s fruit crop this afternoon. Was able picked enough Blueberries and Strawberries for The Laundress, Azul, Lincoln and myself to have a nice start to the day. I think the man is truly trying to corner the Blackberry market all to himself. With a little luck from Mother Nature, his Berry crop ought to be quite impressive.
Meanwhile Broccoli, Cauliflower, Bok Choy, Carrots, Rainbow Chard, Spring and Sweet Onions are fantastic. Can’t wait to see what The Kitchen comes up with next out of the fields.
You hear the term Farm To Table quite often these days. I prefer From Dirt To Shirt ! Certainly fitting for The Influencer and myself. Today’s Menu ends up all down the front of both of us, can’t help it, just the lick plate in both of us.
The Kitchen has a few new offerings this weekend. Sidi’s
Vegetable Lasagna, Broccoli Summer Squash and Goat Cheese Bisque, a new Pasta Salad with His Carrots and English Peas. Kat took a page out of the 1950’s playbook and prepared her Chicken Divan with Sidi’s Broccoli, Light Curry Sauce and Steamed Rice. Always sure to please. We have a few other soups available Tomato Basil, Ginger Chicken and Rosebank’s Fish Stew.
Rosebank is now carrying Beautiful Cheeses, Dolmas, Soppressata and Loukanika, a Greek style salami with cumin, orange zest and garlic. All great additions to our house made dips and spreads for quick appetizers.
Saturday we are going to be making in house Fresh Mozzarella. Great for sandwiches, Caprese Salad with Heirloom Tomatoes or Sweet Cantaloupe with Speck, all available at The Stand.
Scones, Strawberry Pie, Strawberry Bread, Key Lime Pie and Gelato are all fantastic.
Hope everyone enjoys.
Thanks
Jonathan
We are a working farm since 1988 that has been providing fresh, high-quality produce to locals and visitors season after season. Rosebank Farms consist of over 50 acres that produces crops year-round. The planting, cultivating and harvesting never ceases. Our passion for farming and dedication to healthy and delicious food has allowed us to grow and expand while maintaining our commitment to you and quality.
We offer a wide variety of seasonal produce, including fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Rosebank Farms celebrates fall with heirloom pumpkins, winter squash, sweet potatoes, zucchini, speckled butter beans, green beans, wax beans, Kentucky wonders, Italian beans, and arugula. Celosia, marigold, and zinnias bloom with an abundance of monarch butterflies. Beets, carrots, cabbage are all maturing and the sweet peas, snow peas, and sugar snaps will soon be picked. Heirloom tomatoes slowly ripen...of course Mother Nature plays a starring role as the tender crops' nemesis-frost! Our stand is now open at our new location right down the road at Kiawah River. We are still right off of Betsy Kerrison Pkwy. We have local artwork, sweetgrass baskets, honey, and a few local vendors. Rows of vegetables bins line our market and apples from North Carolina fill baskets, and coolers hold the seafood and prepared foods. There is always something at our stand that you will need to take home with you. I promise!
Bounty from our fields transformed by the awesome kitchen staff stocks the refrigerators at our stand. Appetizers, salads, soups, quiches, pasta, main dishes, and sides invite healthy enjoyment. Whether you're looking for a snack or a full Southern meal, you are sure to love whatever it is you find here. Our food options are always changing, but we try and keep our favorites in stock.
