What’s in Season?

Unlike other regions in the United States, the Lowcountry of South Carolina has a unique climate that allows farmers to grow an abundance of fresh produce throughout the year. Visiting Kiawah Island in the summer? Expect to find juicy peaches, zucchini, melons, tomatoes, and sweet corn in season. The fall is the best season for crisp apples, grapes, pecans, and sweet potatoes. The Lowcountry also has crops that flourish all year long including beets, parsley, cilantro, leeks, and many leafy greens. No matter what season you visit, you’re guaranteed to find something delicious!
